I’m Elise Turcaud, founder of Chalet du Bois Melay and your host. An entrepreneur, travel professional and mother, I founded the travel agency and chalet rental company Pointe de Sel in 2020, with the ambition of giving you an unforgettable chalet experience in the Alps.

Alongside Pointe de Sel, I took on a major renovation project for Chalet du Bois Melay in 2021: this former “vintage” chalet was entirely transformed, blending modern style, elegance and comfort.

Passionate about the mountains, nature and skiing, Chalet du Bois Melay is, to me, a place to recharge and find inspiration. I wanted it to feel alive — somewhere to breathe, to share, to feel at home — reflected in the contemporary artworks throughout the chalet, or the piano in the living room that I love to play whenever I get a moment.
