The large living room, filled with light through its wide picture windows, looks out over the snow-covered mountains and forest. A central fireplace, piano and generous dining table make it the heart of the chalet — the perfect place to gather after a day on the slopes.
The chalet is located around 400 metres from the Paradiski slopes, with quick walking access to the Plagne 1800 and Mélèzes lifts.
Skiing made easier from the chalet
Staying at Chalet du Bois Melay also makes every ski day simpler. The chalet has a ski room fitted with boot and glove dryers, so your equipment is always ready to go each morning.
We can book your ski passes in advance so they’re waiting for you on arrival, and arrange for your equipment to be delivered straight to the chalet, through our partnership with the Decathlon store just opposite.
To progress or learn to ski in the best conditions, several renowned ski schools, including the ESF, are close by. Guests registered with our partner school can also benefit from a free private shuttle between the chalet and their lessons.
After skiing: pool, sauna and cinema
After a day on the slopes, unwind in the chalet’s heated indoor pool (30°C), which opens onto the forest through its wide glass windows. The infrared sauna and gym complete this space, dedicated to relaxation and recovery.
In the evening, the private cinema room, table football and board games make it easy to extend the time spent together with family or friends.

How far is Chalet du Bois Melay from the slopes?
The chalet is located around 400 metres from the Paradiski slopes, with walking access to the Plagne 1800 and Mélèzes lifts. Depending on snow conditions, it is also possible to ski back to within around 200 metres of the chalet.
Can you ski to Les Arcs from La Plagne?
Yes. With a Paradiski pass, you can ski to Les Arcs from La Plagne via Peisey-Vallandry and the Vanoise Express cable car, which links the two main sides of the ski area.
Which pass should I choose: La Plagne or Paradiski?
The La Plagne pass gives access to the 225km of slopes within the La Plagne area. The Paradiski pass — or a one-day extension — gives access to the full 425km linking La Plagne, Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry. We can advise you based on the length of your stay, your level and what you’d like to ski.
Is the chalet suitable for several families?

Can you ski straight back to the chalet?
